Re-glassing base of rudder tube ('86 H28.5)

Found spider cracks at base of the rudder post bushing where I believe water was coming in while underway (when bushing goes below waterline).

Currently on the hard, but I'd like to launch and confirm my re-glassing fixed the leak before reinstalling the bulkheads. Any idea if this would be a problem?

the boat hull changes shape when in the water
