i am totally green at this so bear with me. recently acquired a 1975 25 and the poor thing needs a lot of work. as an old truck driver i understand the notion of getting a little of the best you can, rather than lots of junk.big question at the moment is how do i replace companionway cover as mine is MIA. i can deal with the washboards.also missing some kind of bracket on roof of poptop that holds forward brace when top raised.sorry to be so long winded, first of a long line of posts i'm betting.

hatchboard

companionway hatch should be a simple trapazoid.use a good grade of marine plywood, varnish with spar varnish (don't cheap out! you need the uv inhibiters), put on a lock hasp abd you should be golden. Am unfamiliar with pop top hardware. Regards, Jim.

thank you

Thanks for the reply Gentlemen. I will use that email most definitely. The boards will be no problem but i can't seem to get a picture of the top hatch cover they would latch to. i see nothing that looks like a sliding cover would be there and there is an indent, or groove about1.5" deep and wide around the opening on top of the cabin opening..
