Hi All I just did a archive search and could not find the answer I need, so here it goes. I have a leak that I cannot seem to find. The leak is coming from the deck of the boat and running down the liner. It comes out over the starboard fixed port and it also drips down from one of the cabin top liner lights. I have tried spraying water on the deck but can't seem to locate the source(s) of the leak(s). I am going thru the process of elinination and want to rebed the opening ports. I will then do every bolt that goes thru the deck then if necessary the fixed ports. My question is are the ports bolted or screwed to the deck. If they are bolted how do I access the nuts behind the liner? Hate to cut a hole if this is not the source of the leak. (I suspect one of the ports is leaking) Thanks George

Another way to test

Before you rip out your ports, you may want to try another method of finding those elusive deck leaks. Several people have suggested (See Archives)that you can make-up a cardboard piece in place of one of you hatch boards, cut a hole in it and insert the business end of a leaf blower. Close up the boat, turn on the blower to presurize the cabin and spray soapy water on the deck. I'll bet you have bubbles all over the place. Caulk the large ones and try Capt'n Tolleys Creeping Crack liquid on the smaller ones. Good Luck!

My leak

Mine was from the hatch in the main cabin. A poor job was done in bedding the hatch. After a repair no more leak. David

check tracks

We had a siminlar leak on our 1993 Hunter 30T and thought is was coming from one of the fixed ports. But we discovered it was coming from the jib car track. It was leaking down behind the liner on the starboard side. We rebedded the rail and the problem was solved.
