Thanks for the warning. I will use a 25 mm shaft if I can find one, or have
a machine shop turn down part of a 1" shaft.

Hi

The whole shaft will have to be turned down to 25mm so it will pass through
the
stern bearing (25mm) and the sterngland (25mm white metal bearings), finally
the forward most end fits into a bearing (25mm) in the combi. A new shaft
should cost about £120. Hope this helps
