I am afraid I cannot help you. I am still using the old MD 6 engine . It
works fine!

Why did you kick out this 'old faithful"?

with all this talk about leaking stuffing boxes, couldn't help but throw in
my 2 cents worth.... i had a real leaky stuffing box... just packed greese
in after each use... thing was, the reason that the stuffing box leaked, is
that the cutlass bearing had been glassed in years back and was no longer
aligned properly... so the first thing to check is the bearing... if that is
all true, then the problems will be reduced...the cutlass bearing was not
glassed in originally so replacing included cutting away all the extra
fiberglass that had been added, all of which was not too bad...
