Thanks for reply Stephan. Do you recommend any lubrication on the new
nylon stern bearing on assembly?
Beta engine job going well. Alignment done yesterday. I am going to run
the engine soon, have to gear up exhaust and temporary fuel and cooling
water first. Do many use the same location for the fuel tank as was in
the gasoline Vega? I'm looking for a tank and i think it is supposed to
be mounted below engine unless a valve is fitted to prevent syphoning.

Hi Colin

The nyoil stern bearing should not be lubricat3ed. You will have to press
it in
the holder from outside. It should be a tight fit on the styern tube but
ensure
the shaft goes in and out easily as there will be a 3% swelling due to water
immersion.

The fuel tank is in a good place in teh petrol Vega. Most use the Port locker
at the bottom and as far forward as possible.
