My moored boating neighbors have on more than one occasion come by to offer
their observation that the spreaders on my mast are not bisecting the angle
from top of the mast to the deck rail. The pivoting spreaders have a built in
stop that seems to leave the spreaders tilting down toward the water - oh, at
about 5 degrees from perpindicular to the mast. To alay my neighbors
concern, I often slide the spreaders up, only to have them drop again, of course
after a days sail. Any thoughts?
