Sid was wonderful, and I email the family in that regard.

Does anyone know anyone who wants to take over the news letter??? It
really shouldn't die.....

Sid was a wonderful person. My parents became friends
with him when they were first looking for a Vega to buy about 15 years
ago. My father wrote and spoke with Sid often whenever he had a Vega issue
or plan.My father loved to plan his boat projects and Sid was a
great friend todiscuss all of these ideas. My father passed away 5
years ago, and I wish I had gotten to know Sid as I worked through my Fall and
Spring Vega projects. What a neat guy! Well, no one could ever
replace Sid, but there must be someone out there who Sid has inspired who could
take on the Newsletter. And what about the Web page? I don't have
any free time right now as I am in the process of moving to Rhode Island where
we will be closer to our Vega (not just weekends and holidays)! Perhaps
supportinga Vega Web page is something that several IT people could take
on as a team project. Any takers?

Doug and everyone,
Could I please get the last Newsletter? Unfortunately, Sid
canceled my old membership of two years at the same time he
received my dues and mistakenly accepted my new membership.
I think that it was getting to be a task to keep up with
everyone and so I didn't bring it to his attention. I
believe the last one I received was for March. Was there
another after that? Sid had asked for more reader input so
I sent him a photo of my boat in Alaska and a letter of her
history while inviting people to come up and see the Great
State. I am curious if he used it or not. I really enjoyed
seeing the newsletter in my box each month and I will miss
it and Sid's familiar sense of humor. I am toying with the
idea of doing something with it on a less frequent basis,
like quarterly or Winter and Summer...
Hmmm......

Dear Drusie,

Its a late reply because my wife and I were for
one month in the USA and after this we wentsailing
with our Vega on the dutch waters.

I knew Sid quite well because we both wrote a Newsletter, I
was in charge of the dutch one.
Later we paid 4 vistis to the Rosens in Orlando and it was
always a great pleasure to talk to Sid and Florance.

He taught me a lot about how to maintain an old Vega and keep
her in a good condition.
Fortunately , there is now a active webside, that takes over.
I try to read most E mails and reply sometimes.

I wish you the best of luck.
