Dear Tom,
The traveller I have on my Albin Vega is still in the original position,
namely aft at the end of the main sail . Its not an obstruction and it
performs well also under heavy weather.!!!
When I lower the mainsail I have to take care to tighten the "kraanlijn"
the rope that lifts the boom of the mainsail, so that my wife who is at
the rudder does not get the whole mess on her head..
I agree that in this position at affects the tiller which I have nicely
lackered.
I have therefore protected the tiller partly with rope.
My nautical english is not perfect but I do hope you can follow me,
regards,
Henk Jansen
