Hi All
Mitzi & Bear (City Zoo) and Ken and I got together
over the weekend to make more plans for the 2002
Rendezvous on Aug 2,3&4 at Islander Marina,
Fisherman's Bay, Lopez Island.
We are having a Viking theme with a prize for the best
Viking costume. So did those hats with the horns out
of the closet!!! We also have some other prizes to
give.
Steve Birch generously offered an "Across the Pond"
award to the best outfitted Vega.
We're planning a Swedish meatball & smorgasbord dinner
for Sat night. We will provide the meatballs and some
things for the smorgasbord. We will charge a small fee
to cover the cost. Everyone is asked to bring a salad,
side dish, or dessert to share. Bottles of AKVAVIT or
AQUA VITA are also appropriate to bring, along with
wine or beer. Get ready for a party!!
If you need more information about the rendezvous,
please email me. We are hoping to have everyone back
from last year as well as some newcomers.
