No, I won't be eating the fish from Clear Lake. Though I've heard that you could eat a fish a week out of that lake and possibly improve your health, just because adding fish to your diet is so benificial. I'm not much of a fisherman but I've seen them catch some enormous bass there.
I'm just moving the boat, not myself. I've had it here on the coast, sailing out of Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg, California. It's a beautiful coastline, meaning rugged and untamed. Sailing here is not for the faint of heart, and good weather days (in terms of sailing conditions) are not frequent. So I didn't sail often, and my family members rarely enjoyed sailing with me.
The good thing about Noyo is that it's close--only 30 minutes away. Clear Lake is almost 2 hours away, but I can almost always sail if I can get over there. And it's a nice place to sail--a natural lake about 25 miles long. Lot's of pretty coves to anchor in overnight. And it's low-tension saling--e.g. falling off the boat is fun, as opposed to a life-threatening code-red emergency.
