Brian, you can check in with customs in Friday Harbor,
which is right on the way, sort of, to Fisherman's
Bay.

Chuck, we will check with the marina for the July 20
date. Does anyone else have a problem changing to July
20 if we can work that out?

Thanks,
Judy Schwan

Hey Judy:

I checked the charts last night and see that I can check in at Friday
Harbour (we spell it with a "u") and then sail across the strait, bay
whatever, to Fisherman's Bay. I hate to be a spoil sport (sorry Chuck) but
August works well for me. Either that or July 1,2, 3. July is the long
weekend in Canada and works into July 4 for you guys. August 2,3, 4 is the
weekend before I have scheduled my holidays so I would naturally keep on
going. Give it some thought. I will try to be as flexible as possible. I
want to see everyone again.

Well Brian,

Compromise is OK with me. My dilemma (Aside fom shortage of cash) is that I have a business meeting every year in mid July (This year it's the 13th thru the 16th). Last year was the same deal - too much time between the Rendezvous and the meeting so I had to make two trips. If it's only a couple of days I can make one round trip instead of two and take a few of my precious vacation days either before or after the meeting. That way the company pays the freight d;^)

Judy, in any case, it's more important that the folks that will be sailing in with their boats are accommodated. We'll make do somehow and, if the budget allows, Laura and I will make every effort to attend again this year. In the event we can't make it I'm certain that Brian will take enough photos to make a good spread for the newsletter.

Aloha,
