Hi All:
Ken & I just returned this past Sun. to Seattle. We
stopped in Friday Harbor and spent 2 days partying
with Mitzi & Bear. We stopped at Oak Harbor and found
another Vega there. The skipper was just getting ready
to take off with his wife and 2 children for 5 wks in
Barkley Sound. I am going to email him when he gets
back. He said he was a member of the Vega Association
but his membership expired. He is interested in the
rendezvous for next year. Mitzi and I will work on it
through this next year. I did speak to a coast guard
inspector and asked about boats with no legal heads.
He said the fine is very costly and there is a hearing
in Alameda, CA. that the person who it cited has to
attend at their cost. So save up for a porta potti for
the next rendezvous!!
I am anxious to see pictures from the rendezvous. It
was a fantastic weekend and one we'll not forget.
