Hi Marco,
I would stick to a standard laptop, especially one that runs from 12V
rather than the 19.2V that many currently use.
I have an old HP Omnibook 800 that does everything I want (Wefax for
weather, some charting software, IR connectiom for email and WWW). I don't
use the PC enough to justify having a touch screen - and anyway I don't
like the idea of touching anything remotely electronic with a salty finger!
The SeaPC looks as though it could be a reasonable bit of kit for a
50 footer .... but not for a Vega, unless I had money to burn, but even
then, when I anchor I don't want Hi-Fi or DVDs.
Cheers
Alisdair
