Are there any sailors out there with this chart plotter ? I have had nothing but problems. One day it works and the next day it doesn't. Called Raymarine and was told to send it in for a bench check ? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have been using one for almost 15 years. I use it for backup now and only occassionally. I did have some issues with the operating system freezing and occassionally rebooting for no reason several years ago. I did contact Raymarine. I don't recall all of the details other than downloading a file they sent me on to a compact flash card and letting it run on the device. I believe it was a BIOS upgrade or something similar. All has been well since.
