Has anyone used the new Raytheon Navigator software along with a SeaTalk system? I have "The Capn" software which is not compatable with the cmap/nt vector chart modules used in the factory-supplied Autohelm system, so I have to use two seperate sets of software (expensive). Would consider switching to Navigator for compatability, but it would really have to be good to go to that expense. So I'd appreciate andy experience, good or bad. Thanks.

not good enough yet

High george, I use Chartview Pro and really like it. It is integrated to my Raytheon DGPS and AP via NMEA. I purchased the Raytheon package because I liked the idea of fully integrating the PC with Seatalk via the particular interface. This works very well since they came out with the feature package download upgrade to Version2. The original Version 2 was not at all acceptable. Navigator is still way too slow in plotting and editing a route a route compared to CV and it doesn't quilt charts together in a seamless package or have an integrated tides unless one uses the CMAP reader. I also purchased that but have yet to use it. With a few changes, I'd like Navigator enough to use it but for now, I'll stay with Chartview. BTW, since the selective distortion of GPS has been turned off, the accuracy of my DGPS is incredible. If I overzoom a chart with my marina location, it willshow my boat in the correct slip.
