With the recent topics of autopilot: I thought I would ask if anyone has a resource for repair of the Raymarine ST2000.

I have an EPROM that loses it's heading correction in memory, and a cracked back case. If someone has references for repair and replacement parts, please let me know. THANKS.

In addition, has anyone had issue with the tack feature sending the unit to it's stop limits? We can't use the tack feature because either port or starboard tack will cause the unit to hit the physical limiits creating the dreaded grinding....I think it is an installation issue, and look to move the tiller pilot a bit closer to the picot point of the tiller. According to the manual, I am only about 1/2" - 1" off. Maybe there are some settings to revise as well?

Unfortunately, I think you're done. My personal experience is that no one but Raymarine can effect that kind of repair; and, Raymarine repair is slow, and the cost is about the price of a replacement unit.

That said, their tech support forum is very good, and you will get good responses from Raymarine techs.
