I want to install an St1000 auto pilot on my 240. Any one know what size extensions or extra brackets I'll need for the install I'd like to get them all at the same time. I know it should be in the archives but I have not been able to do a search for weeks. Has the system crashed and all the data lost ? Thanks, Randy

What I used ...

was a 4 inch pushrod extension (D006), a 2 inch tiller bracket (D010), and a 1.5 inch pedestal socket (D026). This ends up looking a lot like the application in the photo archives. Sits low, but above the seat cushions, and at the seam between the side and back cushion. I strongly suggest you measure before ordering. You results may differ. Close cover before striking, etc. Regards, Marc_B

DIY bracket

I put one in this spring as shown in the link. Before you order check with Ruedi Ross who posted on 8/22 with the title "ST1000 tillerpilot". He has a new unit purchased for a H240 but then he got uppity and traded up to a H260.

ST1000

I installed on a couple of years ago. I put the plug under the seat out of the way. I bit of extra work as the cavity is full of foam, but out of the way. I did not need an extention, just check your measurements. I used a nipple with threaded brass cap for the base from Homedepot and save $30. Also made the tiller bracket from Aluminium at homedepot, doubled up of the stripps for strength. It is a great accessory.
