Has anyone installed a raymarine ev100 autopilot in their boat? Where did you put the components? I have a Catalina 30.

John,

I would suggest a longer STng spur cable and moving that very expensive ($530.00) EV-1 heading sensor out of the way of feet.........

Thanks for the suggestion, but that is why I secured the wooden block above it.

Just me, but I would run the wires down the pedestal or pedestal guard and move the sensor inside.

I ran the wires down the pedestal guard and have the computer and compass mounted to the top of the aft cabin wall.( the wall that separates the lazarette from the aft cabin. I mounted the control head in a vinyl fence rail for now. cost for the DIY navpod was about $15.

I do not think there is an issue with the weather. One of the Raymarine suggested install spots is the front of the mast.
