Hope you can help me locate a wiring kit Q106 for an st4000 wheel drive. The female cable plug wires that go into the the wheel drive motor tube have broken. What I would like to find is the complete wiring kit or even better the female end with a few inches of wires protruding that can be rejoined to the attached cable going to the head unit. Raymarine does not have this part. Any suggestions for suppliers that may have this? Seems nuts to have to replace the entire wheel.

Not that I've looked yet, but I frequently have good luck searching on EBay.

OK - I replaced my ST4000 drive wheel last year with a ST4000 MKII (Raymarine advised they were compatable) but used the already installed existing cable rather than run the new cable. Only issue I had was that I needed to flip the two wires on the control unit so it turned the correct direction. I can look for it when I get home tonight but not sure it is not in my shed at the boat. Should still have it since I did not toss it, we can work out details in priivate messages/email.

Another reason not to buy Ray Marine. Seems they have taken after the automotive parts industry. Can't just buy the part you need. Oh, you can't just buy the bearing, you have to buy the whole wheel. We in the auto service industry go thru this every day. Sign of the times guys.......

Looked and I do have the cable with a label on the package - RUL-4081-011-E. Send me a personal message or email if your interested. Just to be sure, it is not a network cable - it is a power cable, two prong plug to match up to the drive unit on one end and two wires that connect to the control unit on the other.

I easily ordered the same cable as a replacement part through the Raymarine web site a couple of years ago (part #A18061?). This year I needed a replacement front cover and drive ring... I couldn't find the parts on their web site - for that matter, I had a hard time finding ANYTHING USEFUL on their web site - but I walked in to my local West Marine store (my only 'local' Raymarine dealer) who called Raymarine for me to ask about parts availability. The parts person at Raymarine said; "Oh, yeah... You want a ###..." and rattled off the part number from memory. The whole process only took about 10 minutes, after I had spent hours looking for replacement parts on the web site. It might be worth it to just talk to a human somewhere...

Thanks everyone for your help. I ordered the part from West Marine. Easy to pick up, competative prices and easy to deal with.
