I have recently had a software upgrade done to my 2006 Raymarine E120. This new upgrade has been out for about 2 months and recommended by Raymarine tech support. I was having no problems with the original version 3.31 that was installed with the unit. My local tech rep installed the newer version 4.2 ,I could not get the radar to function without restarting the unit 2 times. Calls to Raymarine resulted in them telling my local guy that there were issues similiar to this and the solution was to delete all of my waypoints and do a master reboot the software then reinstall the waypoints. He did this with the same results, no radar function without turning the system off and on twice. The next call to Raymarine resulted in the tech telling my local guy the problem was in the radar dome and not the updated software and he wants me to send the radar back for service. Of course at my expense.
