Raymarine a95 Multifunction

I purchased and installed a new Raymarine a95 multifunction instrument.
Has anyone successfully upgraded the software for this device.
the chip for the device is a tiny square chip and I can't figure out how to move the data from a laptop computer (after the download) to the small chip.

That little chip is a micro SD chip. To do a software update, go to Staples, Best Buy, or wherever and buy another one that comes with an adapter. There are at least two types: a USB adapter and a regular size SD card adapter. I use the former. Use the new chip and adapter with your PC to download the update, extract the zip file, and keep the extracted files in the root directory. Then go to the MFD, take out the old chip, insert the new one, and power up. Follow directions on screen. When done, take out the update chip and replace it with the one that was there beforehand.
