This past weekend, I "fired" up all of my electronics in preparation for a day trip out into the Atlantic off of Ponce Inlet. When I heard the normal beep from my 420 mounted on the pedestal, I assumed that it was just asking for the normal acknowledgement that it was getting a "fix".Much to my surprise, I found several error messages on the screen and none of the keys/buttons whad any effect. Powering it down and back up again didn't help either - same error message.Rather than delay my trip any longer, I pulled out my handheld Garmin (sorry!) and proceeded out for a great day of sailing.Today, I went and read the manual (my XO asked why I didn't do that on Saturday), performed a "factory reset" on the unit, and everything worked OK except that I lost all of my stored waypoints, routes, track info, etc.I would like to avoid this experience in the future. Is there anything that I did to cause the error/lockup? Here is the error message information:SWI 11 End ExecCODE C0A3D0800004001<<System Halted>>Thanks,Ron ParkesPS - Other than this, I love the unit and it has much better charts than the Garmin.
