Bill, et. al.: Recognizing that you are going to be a bit predjudice in your opinion, I was wondering if you'd had time to look at the newest chartplotters Garmin is offering. They are using a British/Russian database vice the DMA ones popular here and the chartography detail is astounding. I've just ordered a new Catalina 400 and need to make some final decisions on chartplotters (or not). The main question I have for Bill is whether Ray Marine has looked at these new systems (of COURSE THEY HAVE!!) and are they looking to update their chartography to emulate...trust me, it is THAT GOOD. In additon, I'd appreciate any user experience that owners of charplotters could provide me. Thanks. Tim L. (S/V "TIDE")
