Hi people, I'm new to posting here but been a lurker for a while.

I did a search but couldn't come up with anything. But there's probably a good chance this has been asked before.

My 79 H33 head had been changed out to a Portapottie pumped to a holding tank. I am going to change out the head to regular one as was wondering where the raw water intake for flushing is located on other older H33's. I can easily see the through-hull for the waste discharge. Was there a dedicated through-hull for the raw water intake or was it tee'd from the the engine through-hull?
Would anyone have a picture of how their older hunter raw water intake is located and setup.

Any advice would be appreciated.

on my 78 the head raw water is teed off of the line that goes to the engine. And at one point there was a foot pump under the galley sink that pumped raw water into the sink via a little side faucet. All three exit points came from the same thru hull located aft of the engine.

On the 1980 model the head raw water intake is under the starboard lazarette in the space for the fresh water pump. If your boat has the same set up you will find a thru hull in this area. Mine is made up of a thru hull then an elbow and a ball valve. The raw water hose to the head runs from the valve to the head. The diagram of the head plumbing plan is shown below.

Here are a few photos of the area which includes the raw water in-take. It may now look a little different than what you will find in your lazarette (I have a new poly tank in there now), but I hope you get the idea.

You could also use the waste discharge thru-hull if you don't have the intake anymore. If you're not aware you can't use the waste discharge anyways, so could use it for something else. I used mine for the wash-down pump intake and have a hose to spray off the mud from the anchor.

Btw we're at BayMoorings.

The waste discharge is above the water line. Won't draw water. The location of the head raw water through-hull is about as bad as it gets. At the bottom of a second layer locker. You have to go through too much to turn it off so it gets ignored. Not a good thing to do. Early on I moved mine to a spot behind the engine adjacent to the engine cooling raw water through-hull. When I open or close the engine valve I do the head valve at the same time. Once you have moved the valve you can put a holding tank in there and fillthe space with stuff you'd rather not have anywhere else. See H22CRich's pictures and search out mine which are scattered around in numerous older postings.
