Peggy, I replaced both my jabsco heads on my H410 this past winter with Raritan Crickets. We got in the water a couple of weeks ago and the one I placed in the forward head had a leak around the pump lever. Called Raritan and they said there was no feild fix for it and sent out a replacement head under warranty. Great I thought. I replaced the defective head last week and the new one leaks in another area. Again called Raritan and was informed again there was no feild rapair but they would send a replacement under warranty. Assuming this one works, Raritan is batting .500 on the Crickets, not bad if your a baseball player, but pretty frustrating from my standpoint. Is there some reason you know of that is causing the quality control problem I seem to be expereincing? I'm going to have a lot of quality, trouble free pumps before I would be able to recommend Raritan to anyone else. I'm sure you appreciate that replacing heads is not my favorite way to spend a couple of hours on the boat. Any thoughts? Bryce S/V Spellbinder

First I've heard of any production run problems,

My guess is, you just happened to get two isolated cases. I assume they wanted you to send the two leakers back to them? Trust me, they want to find out why they leaked so they can correct it. It can't be a common problem, or they'd know what parts to send you to fix it in the field and I'd know about it so I could tell people what to do to fix it...they keep me in the loop. I know it's frustrating, but I think (HOPE!) you just happened to hit the only 2 out of a zillion of 'em that had problems. If only you had that kind of luck with lottery tickets!! Keep me posted?
