The new Raritan PHII LBA conversion in our boat has been getting good reviews from the admiral, but she has one question / clarification.
When the "pump" lever is in the down position - it is (apparantly) hard to grab the wet/dry selector knob and turn it from wet to dry.
When the pump lever is "up" - of course the wet/dry knob is very easy to access......however........
The lettering on on the knob sez to **NOT* turn the knob when "operating the pump"....
Does "operating the pump" mean when the pump lever is "in motion" ? or does it mean "any time the pump handle is not at the bottom of the stroke" ?
Basically the bottom line is - can the "wet/dry" knob be switched when the pump handle is in the "up" position ? ( or is this considered to be "operating the pump" ?)
Those in the know - please advise !!
(It's a shame to have to ask these silly questions - but when marine stuff is in question - well - it never hurts to ask - logic does not always seem to prevail.)
Thanks.
Paul
