...I should probably have removed it at first....I guess I was hesitant because I would have to move it to the main salon and we had just cleaned that area after putting it in the water...
Spring is here, the weather is warm...so why don't you take it all the way off the boat, onto the dock??? Or if it's too rainy for that, put it in a garbage bag and take it home work on it your garage or carport.
I have the entire Raritan parts list and a very detailed drawing and there is no escaping that mine was installed slightly different than the prototype drawing indicates... the fellow who installed the PHII changed the intake location to the lower front and did not use the barbed connector, rather just used an attachment of some sort and ss hose clamps on the intake.
I'd have to see a photo of your toilet to be sure, but I don't think it is different from the "prototype" because the inlet fitting on the PHII is on the front of the pump...at the bottom of the "flush/dry" valve housing. (Btw, the little square nut with a hole in it on the front of that housing is the air valve, not to be confused with anything to do an anti-siphon device. If you'd like to send me some photos of the pump (not the bowl...all look alike), I'll see what if anything is different.
Btw, Jerry at Raritan is very good at his job...you can trust his advice.
