We are currently installing a Raritan PHII in our Oday 34. Can the base be rotated 180 degrees so that the handle and pump are on the left hand side? It appears the pump assembly can be rotated to fit. Is there any reason this won't work? Thanks

It can be done....

But there's a little more to it than just putting it on the base backward...if you do that the pump handle will be behind it. The yoke has to be reversed. Call Vic Willman at Raritan on Monday...he'll tell you how to do it the right way.

MUCH better!

Incredibly, he's beating the pneumonia and pleurisy...but he's still a long way from well, and he's become very disoriented. So it's still very much one day at a time. And I could just shoot him...'cuz if he hadn't been too stubborn--despite all my urging--to see his doctor when his cold kept getting worse instead of better, he wouldn't be there! I'm at home tonight because I HAD to take a LITTLE time for myself or I wouldn't be any good to him any more. Thanks so much for asking!

It is called care giver

respite. If you don't take care of yourself then you can't take care of any one else. Glad to learn of the progress. Best to you both Ross

Reversing a PHII

Both the pump and the bowl must be removed from the base, then the base is rotated 180º, and the pump and bowl are re-installed - only now the pump is on the left side, rather than the right side. Nothing on the pump itself must be changed - it simply gets turned around when it's re-installed on the base. Peg - glad to hear your dad is improving!
