Peggy, as you will recall, can not pump water in....I have spoken with two fellows at Raritan last one Jerry...I had the pump partially apart now for two days trying to find the spring....I thought I had found the ball behind the little square cut out on the front of the pump, but cannot find the spring...cannot look up inside from down below as the head is mounted too close to the floor (maybe 4 inches)..and I can't make my eyes turn 90 degrees...where do I find the spring....? the only access I've found is from the top...can take off the flushdry know that turns...but that is it....can not see inside the pump looking down. I have all the drawings blown up from raritan parts list...any more offers of help...I will call Raritan again in the morning....I've been tearing the thing down for 6 hours...so far...and still cannot find the spring......Thanks so much for your help! Patrick

Patrick, IIRC, in your other post on this subject I suggested that you remove the head from the cramped compartment. Have you done this yet?

no...should have I guess...the thing is built-on to this platform o'day put in the boat but I might have been able to take tilt it back and see up in the hole...but would everything have aligned well and stayed in place when I tilted it and then sat it back down ? I'm calling Raritan again in a few minutes and have some questions to ask...thanks...!

On my PHII after removing the flush/dry cap, there is a round cap which spins off, then gently pull up the part that will expose the spring. Did it just last night.

when you say "spins off" do you mean without a wrench, just hand turning..? I think that is the only reason I have not found the spring...found the ball I think...but have no visibility from underneath....Pat
