Not a 40.5 but a 1987 h40 - a generation older but in many ways similar.
It was relatively forward. We did put it in the FWD head. Wife loves the lever vs. the ball on the end of the Groco pump on the head we replaced. Appear the pump lever would stick out an partially block passage of people from salon to aft cabin if installed in aft head.

Carl: If you have two heads, then an electric unit in one and a manual unit in the other make it a great installation.
i installed a raritan marine elegance electric in my oday31. just had to kitty corner it a bit. there is plenty of room to use it comfortably. it was a great upgrade that i was told would never fit. sometimes you just have to think outside the box a little.
