Unfortunately yes, custom
My major objective here was to store the repugnant goo in otherwise unusable space. I have no interest in living directly over a sloshing cauldron of waste stored under a settee locker. I had previously moved all the "services", that is pumps, filters and such to the head's aft bulkhead. This left a good size cavern under the sail locker floor. This is directly behind the toilet and provides a direct waste hose run of less than 2 feet. Unfortunately the size of the tank was decided more by the size of the locker door opening. (While my boat is set up to get the fuel tank out relatively quickly, in this case it would make no difference.I cut and fitted a corrugated cardboard mock-up to send to the fabricator. And just for the record none of the normal suppliers like Ronco show anything even close to the right configuration. I ended up with a touch over 17 gallons, although with better planning I might have been able to get another couple of gallons. The supplier was: C. C. Tech Inc.P. O. After fabrication the tank is pressure tested with water. They will put any type of fitting anywhere you want it.I hope the pictures were clear enough to make out the detail.Ah yes. The price. Remember I never said I was sane! I don't have the exact number but I remember it was north of $350.00. I'm sure they would work out something with a large enough order. Thanks for the encouragement.
