Has anyone installed a lectrasan on their vessel? Any tips on the install or comments on the function would be helpful.

The complete installation, operation and maintenance guide are posted there. www.raritaneng.com It's VERY important that you install and operate the Lectra/San according to mfr's directions. The only people who have problems with 'em are those who don't: Install at the same level or below the toilet...and within 6' of the toilet. Operation is very simple: operate with EVERY flush...if you don't, the waste won't be treated sufficiently (plus, you'll have odor problems). It's very important that the unit gets enough salt...it works by charging the ions in salt water with electrical current, and insufficient salt means insufficient treatment. If you're in the Chesapeake Bay or other brackish waters, a salt feed tank is absolutely essential. Although Raritan offers several, I recommend you buy the 4 gallon tank that uses rock salt, and not the tanks that require filling with a brine solution...less maintenance. If you have any questions or doubts, do NOT just make assumptions...TALK to RARITAN!!! 800-352-5630.
