Raised boom photo

I have uploaded an album to this site under the name Double Fantasy showing her under sail with our raised boom. After we raised the boom (which we have never regretted!), the main was recut and we had a taller dodger made by Diana Webb. We no longer have to worry about being clunked in the head by the boom. The slight reduction in the main sail area has not been an issue as we frequently have to reef anyway.

Mel & Paul,

It looks great. We've been wanting to do this for awhile. If you get a chance, I'd love to see some close up shots of the mast and forward end of the boom. Any chance you have a parts list handy? How much was the new main and where did you have it made? How much was the new dodger? Did you put in new dodger supports for it?
