Rain water entering cabin

We are entering our third season with our much loved 311.
It is a 1998 that is in excelent shape.
Our problem is rainwater coming in on the port side.
During heavy rain we get upwards of a quart.
It drips down just forward of the the boats midline ,
close to where the hull and deck meet.
Last fall I arranged a collection system.
Now we need a permanent fix.
She is currently on the hard with mast down.

If you are really lucky, could be one of the dead lights, ports windows or what ever you want to call them, It could be going from the window, under the lining material, and coming out where you see it. Another thing it could be, is, the chain plates, which pass through the deck (if i remember rightly, but i am thinking of a 35) with the movement of the rig, you can get leaks round that area. It would just be a case of re sealing the chain plates. But, its more than likely the hull deck joint, you could try several things, like tightening the screws in that area, i dont know if those boats have self tapping screws, or bolts, you could try taking the screws (bolts) out puting some sealant under the heads, then puting them back in, but failing that, you would need to re bed the toe rails, which is a big job.
