Rain Cover

I finished my rain cover. This cover keeps the cockpit clean and dry, and extends up over the pop top to avoid any leakage there. The cover is intended to go down the road, and help with the snow and rain typical of this area at any time of the year.

I made the cover with the material Odyssey III and I picked up the snap set around the pop top. I did install more snaps aft, but they are out of the way of any boat usage.

The lines that the factory used to set the snaps are off center.

I use 2 inch strapping around the perimeter of the cover and up the center.Lots of strength and good grippage for the snaps. The straps to the aft mast crutch suck because they are flat webbing. Flat webbing vibrates in the windstream and loosens the straps. I am going back to simple 1/4 inch line. Next I'll cover the outboard and the rudder.
