Does nayone have any suggestions on where I can mount my Propane BBQ or put it in another location for ease of use. My BBQ is mounted on the stern rail of my hunter Legend 37 and with the Bimini frame and my rail mounted outboard moter the BBQ is a pain to use. Not enough room to cook. Any ideas. Thanks Barrie

depends on the make/model

Barrie: Depending on the make/model of the BBQ, there are different options for mount. Some of the units have a mount like a flag pole, while others have short or long arms. I assume that you have a Magma and it is mounted on the side? Have you considered moving it more to the stern?

Magma Astern

Barrie, I have a Magma that I usually mount on the vertical rail, port side of the swim ladder. It can be difficult to work in the area (having such a large wheel to work around), but when I'm in an anchorage for a while, I will remove the wheel and tie it to the inside of the port side stern pulpit rail and get it out of the way. Works for me!

Magma mount

My mount will go on any stanchion. Do have one that is a little farther forward? Magma sells(at West Marine) all types of mounts for their grills. I have thought about buying the fishing pole holder mount for mine as the previous owner installed fishing pole holders. This would move my grill from the stern to the mid point of the cockpit either over the port or startboard side. Tim Reilley Portland, Maine
