The radio came with a cup shaped mike holder mounted on the side of the console but it was broken after a year or so. Raymarine stopped making it and began offering a clip which fit into a slot on the back of the mike.
If one bangs into it , it breaks.
Raymarine has discontinued the clip.
Anyone come up with a new way to mount the mike?
Right now I have it lying in the cupholder in the center console.
This is fine but prefer a permanent solution.

It sounds like a non-standard mic holder, so you might think of looking at the variety of add-on cell phone clips. Or, maybe a low tech option that I had to do once when the mic mount broke: Velcro (which I think you can now get in clear).

If you search the catalogs at West Marine and Defender, you might be able to find something close to what you need, or something that you can modify.

Any good boat chandlery and maybe even West Marine too, should have stand alone mic clips that you can buy.

Or if it was me, I would screw the fittings on for a regular microphone and just use that

You can easily araldite (strong bonding agent like a resin) a regular piece for the back of your mic itself and slot it into a regular holder.

Find an old mic at any old boat yard / scrap place and just unscrew the back nobule that is on the back of those standard fist pieces and glue it on.

Or could even use a plastic spacer from a hardware store and just file down the middle of it to get it to fit.

Tx all for suggestions. Very helpful.
I think I will try to adapt to a clip that is available.
The one on there I had to file down from its larger size to fit the slot so i will probably do something similar
I will post solution once I do it
