I have a Hunter 33 2005 and I would like to add a radar to the arch . Any advise would be great.

Alain, Given that the mainsail traveler is mounted on top of the arch I don't see any way to accomplish this. You could probably have an auxiliary arch mounted behind the original which would clear both the traveler and the boom. I would opt for the antenna to be mounted on its own stalk if you have to have radar.

That's pretty low. You would want to keep people off the deck forward of the cockpit when it was operating. A bow lookout can be a nice thing to have in thick conditions. The radar will also see farther and have less sea clutter if you put it up on the mast.

No Way

That is not possible as already mentioned it is either up the mast or on a pole mounte on the stern or spend tons of $$$$$ for another arch.
I have the raar up the mast from the factory on my H-36.

My friend's H-33 and another have it on the Mast somewhere between the two spreaders. You'll need to buy extension cables as I don't think the ones that comes with Raymarine would be long enough (that is if you're planning on using Raymarine).
