Radar Wire up the Mast?

We are installing a new radar. Our 1982 Catalina 38 never had one before. The conduit is packed with wires and it looks like their is no room to get a 1/2 inch cable through it. Plus how would we drill through the mast and then through the conduit without risking damage to those wires. We are trying to figure out away to run the cable along the conduit.But how do we secure it? We need to make sure that it does not get in the way of the internal halyards and does not rattle. I am looking for suggestions. Thanks

I put my scanner on a Garhauer Tower and am very pleased. However, to approach your questions, try the "Upgrades and Tips" section of the Catalina 36 website,www.catalina36.org.You'll find a great description of the whole installation process. Long wire ties with the tails NOT cut off were used inside the mast to keep the scanner wire from rattling. Good luck.
