mid way on the mast
Pat, There are lots of opinions on this .... but I would not put a 2 KW radiating device close to your head - ie - post mounted - everyone says that it is okay - but the facts are that there is not true study to prove that it is safe - the lobes on the sweep are broad and even though it is intermittent - it is still 2 KW of energy.... the downside of the mast is sail wear and tear - the difficulty in mounting - and stuff like that .... the advantages are that you will have a longer distance of coverage ... you will see in the responses that many will disagree with me ... so this is just one opinion... I have mounted 2 on two sep boats and wouldn't consider any other option... other then a pivoting mount on the mast... good luck jim
