I'm thinking of installing Radar on Puffin 1554.
Does anyone have a suggestion where the best place to mount 18" dame?

Hi Gianni. We started out with a tripod on the stern. Steel pole with steel tubing braces to the coaming. Two much flex. We wound up with it on the mast. Cable is attached to the outside of the mast with electrical clamps. My only dislike of this setup is I would like to find a male/female fitting for the cableand can't. It would be nice to just unplug it where it enters the cabin. Walt
PS its a Furono 16 mile radar recommended to me by a guy who installed raytheon radars on ships. As he said, just go to a commercial fishing harbor and look at whats installed on the boats.
