Radar mount on Beneteau 47.7 First

Hello,

I am about to install radar on a sailboat Beneteau 47.7 First and I am asking you how to get cables trough the mast to the cabin.

Does anyone have a cut view of a mast on beneteau 47.7 or maybe some info about that.

Our 36.7 (same series) as a mast exit for wires as the base of the mast near the keel step. Underneath the floorboards right next to the step is a plastic wire conduit that runs wires back to the box behind the instrument panel. Normally there is a mouse wire that you can attach a new cable to and pull though. Make sure to attach a new line so you can pull the mouse back.

Thanks for thrat tip about plastic wire conduit, on 47.7 is positioned on the ceiling under the ceiling wrap. I am more interested for the mast... if there is any wire conduit for the wires...

Hmm.

I thought your mast was keel stepped like most First .7s are.

If so, the wires will exit the mast at the foot under the floorboards.

It just might be as you said. Do you have any idea where to drill a hole for cable to find easiest way to get them down to the keel?

Just lift your floorboard near the base of the mast. You'll see all the existing mast wiring.
