I am considering adding a Raytheon radar/chart plotter to my Hunter 35. I am leaning to a transom pole mount, with the screen on the binnacle forward of the compass. I would welcome any comments on whether that would be the best configuration, and on where I could get the transom pole.

Hi Eric, I own a 1988 Legend 37. I mounted my raydome on a stern pole and the display on the side of the compass guard. This works very well. It is great to have the display at the helm. I wouldn't have it any other way. Bob

Run, don't walk. Just call Garhauer. They now make a stern pole this is good and inexpensive (mass production, rather than custom is the answer). I think that for less than $400.00 you can get a stern pole with a motor hoist for your outboard! Wow . . . ChuckWolfe@mail.com
