Never any air found with boat in berth, before engine start. Always diesel FULL.
My filter is the HIGH POINT.
For Air to get into your Stationary, no engine running Racor 500...
I would suggest an air leak on the OUTLET side going to your engine and maybe even a fuel pump issue.
Since the outlet side in normal under a slight vacuum, when engine running, it might be noticed as a missing engine response.
Look for hair line crack near the outlet port with a magnifier,
