Hi,My first post on this site, so please bear with me if I'm in the wrong forum!I have a 50% share in a marine business (chandlery, brokerage, repairs & maintenance) based at a yacht club in Western Australia. We've recently been appointed Hunter agents for WA, and I've just ordered a 33. Although it will be primarily a demo boat, I intend to continue racing around the buoys on the Swan River, and obviously I want to show it off to best advantage. My question is, are there any tips for getting best performance and controlling mast shape? I've never used the B&R rig or anything like it - I'm used to a masthead rig with a backstay and inner forestay on my current 32 footer.Presumably best performance will be from a suit of racing jibs, rather than the furling headsail. Any tips on the optimum number and percentages?I've ordered it with spinnaker gear. What's the best configuration? Will the rig support conventional spinnaker poles, or am I restricted to an asymmetric? If so, bowsprit or no bowsprit?Sorry for the long post and number of questions, but I'm starting from a zero base. All advice gratefully received!
