Racing a Hunter 27-2

I have a 1990 Hunter 27 and would like to get some input from Hunter 27 owners on achieving the best performance from that boat. How much rake and pre-bend are you putting in your rigs? At what tension are you setting your shrouds? Are you using backstay tensioners? What size headsails are being used? Anyone and everyone, if you have any advice on getting these boats to perform please let me know.

As with all sailboat racing, a clean bottom that is well faired is key to boat speed. Weight is another huge factor. Remove EVERYTHING that is not tied down.
Are you sailing with roller furling?...dodger?....anchor on the bow?....full water tank?
