Awhile back you responded to a post I sent regarding tightening the bolts on the rudder gudgeon on my 272. I've got the rudder down in the basement now and am ready to bore out the holes and fill them with epoxy as you suggested. I hope that you recall my problem which is that every time I tighten the bolts on the rudder I have to tighten them further because the foam fill inside the rudder is slowly compressing. This is also true of the tiller attachment at the top of the rudder. In both instances I can see some distortion in the rudder. Now to my questions. I've never worked with epoxy systems. Any advice on what type to use? Your earlier posting suggested boring the hole out 1/2" wider than it is now, fill the hole with epoxy and redrill. What about bending a right angle on a nail, chucking it up and after inserting it into the hole, cleaning out the foam without drilling out the holes oversize? Have you tried it this way? Let me know what you would do. I know that this isn't something that can be screwed up badly, but if you can tell me what you've done that worked, it'll start me off in the right direction.Appreciate the advice as always,Tom
