"Factory" varnish?

I can tell there is varnish on some of the woodwork in the galley, and around the companionway, which makes sense since it's so exposed to sun and weather. But forward of there, all the woodwork seems to be bare. Am I correct?I HATE varnishing, but I'm feeling the wood calling out to me ... varnish me ... var-nish meeee ...

I'm a convert to Danish Oil. Wipe it on and wipe off the excess. Additional coats can be applied w/o sanding. Check it out!

That's a good idea, rchrdcoe. I've used linseed oil a LOT in the past, and Danish oil to a lesser degree. I'll give it some thought before I go to varnish. Did I mention I hate varnish?? LOL

ive noticed fully finished wood does not seem to mildew. no nooks and crannies?Sent from my iPhone
