Questions re: Alamitos Bay, L.B. Calif

Hi there...need your help !Anybody out there familiar with Alamitos Bay, Long Beach Ca.It's been thirty years since I sailed out of the Bay...but we are planing a launch there the week of Sept 4.. Use to launch at the ramps across from Marine Stadium, but they apear not to be there anymore. Found a ramp called Davies Launch (???) listed..Any idea of bridge clearances or for that matter any better locations to launch a Mac 26d..Any suggestions about where to sail to other than Catalina.All help welcomed.ThanksMarty MsSugasMac26d

The bridge clearance at Davies is 30 feet at zero tide. I don't recomend that because you would have to either lower and raise mast on water or time it perfectly with tide. I launched last week from San Pedro on Cabrillo beach and it was the easiest launch area I've had to launch in yet.Sailed to Catalina it went great.Ryan
